IT’S NOT OVER, UNTIL IT’S OVER

The only personalities that can dictate how your story ends are you and God. Yes, I know it sounds like something out of the now ubiquitous inspirational speakers but I kid you not.

I want you to take a good look at the attached pictures of flowers. It’s a sight that I see whenever I look out of a couple of my bedroom windows. The thing is, out of all the flowers and trees in my house, I think these are pretty special because God used them to tell me what I’m about to tell you.

About 8 months ago, I had asked my security man to give the flowers a large trim because they had grown so abundant that it was threatening the gate house. I went out and when I got back, I found out that the fellow had not only cut down both flowers but had uprooted them. I was so pained that I could barely speak as I slowly walked into the house.

I later stood by one of my bedroom windows, forlornly looking through at the spot where the flowers had been. Then I heard a voice ask me to tell the security man to go through the heap of cut up flower trees, retrieve pieces with roots and replant them. I obeyed. The roots were replanted, and watered daily for about a week, after which we left them to survive on their own.

What you now see is born out of a combination of two flowering trees that had been chopped up like firewood waiting to be thrown away or cast into the fire. Their roots were retrieved, replanted and given a second chance at life. After watering them daily for about a week, we left the flowers’ fate to themselves. About 8 months later, this is what we have; a pair of beautiful flower trees that are sure to grow even more beautiful and luxuriant.

It doesn’t matter if your situation is similar to that of these flowers, you used to be a ‘big deal’ and now, you are not. It doesn’t even matter if you have never been a ‘big deal’. What matters is that you never give up on you because it’s certainly not over until it is.

Wishing you a great and prosperous week ahead!
